Life Planning
The Charles R. Kingsley Life Planning Center provides planning and referral services to young adults who have developmental disabilities and are aging out of the support network provided by the school system.
Using the principles of person-centered planning, the center’s professionals can help a family to build a network of support around their child and develop a strategy in keeping with their child’s needs, desires and goals.
Important issues to consider include:
- guardianship
- financial planning
- government entitlements and benefits
- accessing health and medical assistance
- career goals
- vocational and career training
- job placement
- residential opportunities
- travel training
- recreational opportunities
- community supports
Appointments will be scheduled at your convenience and can take place either at the center or in your home. Certain fees will be applied for services rendered, however, financial assistance is available.
