| Employees receive gifts in recognition of their years with Westchester Arc. |
Nearly 100 Westchester Arc employees were honored for their longtime service—between five and 30 years—at Staff Recognition Night, held on December 13 at the Crowne Plaza, White Plains. Click here for list of honorees.
“It’s been a blast working here,” says 25-year honoree Frank Hughes, assisant building superintendent. “I’ve made some great friends and had the chance to support an important cause.”
The night’s festivities included dinner, cocktails and presentation of awards. Andrew Heugel, employment specialist, and Beverley Anderson, day habilitation specialist, received the Diversity Leadership Award for their commitment to celebrating our employees’ cultural richness. Kristina Fiorentino, career planner, was presented with a John Bodnar Scholarship, a $1,000 grant for educational advancement.

“Employees remain with Westchester Arc for an average of eight years,” notes Myriam Vocke, director of human resources. “For most, the agency represents more than just a job. It’s a place to enrich lives and establish a career with plenty of room for advancement.”
Beverley Williams, a five-year honoree, couldn’t be happier with her time at Westchester Arc. Beverly started as counselor at the agency’s Respite House in Thornwood but, through hard work, was quickly promoted to house supverisor.
“Working at Westchester Arc brings me professsional and personal satisfaction,” comments Beverley. “Every day, I look forward to going to work. I enjoy caring for consumers and spending time with co-workers. I fell in love with this job from the first day I started and I can’t wait to see what the next five years will bring.”
